Jet is another super pound dog.  Originally found wandering the roadside, he spent a number of weeks in the Hamilton pound before being picked up to become a cattle dog on a bull farm.  However, while Jet certainly looks the part, he had one major problem – he is terrified of cattle.  Bad news for the farmer, but great news for me.

Jet was advertised on Trademe as a dog with great agility potential.  Ex-operational handler Kirsty Kay and I went to check him out. Initially Jet had no idea what the toys were for, but it didn’t take long for him to grab one from the pile, take off with it and shake the life out of it.   After a fantastic tug game and a couple of runaways, we knew we had a dog worth checking out.

Jet is a quick learner. He is eager to please, fast, bouncy, excited and loves the toy.  He has settled in well with my two other dogs and is adored by my daughter.

We went Operational in 2013 and then achieved Advanced Operational in 2014.
