Certification

USAR search dogs in New Zealand are assessed to national standards. The assessments are done at a national event currently held once a year and the evaluations are undertaken by a senior Police Dog Evaluator and a Civilian Evaluator.

There are two levels of certification which are based on the FEMA (USA) standards. Take a look
